Brief introduction
Su Heng is Associate Professor of English and MA supervisor in Linguistics and Applied linguistics at Beihang University. He holds a PhD degree in Intercultural Communication from Curtin University in Western Australia. Between 2000 and 2001, he was a visiting scholar at Athens University, Greece, under a Fellowship sponsored by the Greek Government. He was also a recipient of IPRS (International Postgraduate Research Scholarship) sponsored by the Australian Government. Since joining Beihang University, he has been closely involved in scholarly activities and meanwhile, deeply invested in his students and their intellectual well-being. He has been offering such courses as Intercultural Communication, Language and Culture, Introduction to Corpus Linguistics to both graduate and undergraduate students. His research interests range across a number of fields, e.g., sociolinguistics, cross-cultural communication, applied linguistics.
